We stand behind every window we install. Here is how our policy works for custom-ordered, professionally installed vinyl windows.
WindowFixers.ca is not a typical retail store. We do not sell windows off a shelf — every vinyl window we supply is custom-ordered to your exact measurements and professionally installed by our own crew. Because of the custom, made-to-order nature of our products and the permanent installation involved, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges once an order has been placed.
Why We Don't Offer Returns
- Custom manufacturing — each window is built to your home's specific opening dimensions, frame colour, glass configuration, and hardware selections. These are not stock items that can be resold.
- Permanent installation — our windows are professionally sealed and integrated into your home's building envelope. Removing an installed window damages the product and your home.
- Quality assurance — we inspect every window on delivery and test operation during installation, so defects are caught before the job is signed off.
Our Warranty Commitment
Instead of a return policy, you get something better — comprehensive warranty protection that lasts for years:
- Manufacturer's warranty — every vinyl window comes with the manufacturer's warranty, typically a transferable limited lifetime warranty on the vinyl frame and a long-term warranty on the sealed insulated glass unit.
- Installation workmanship guarantee — we stand behind our own installation. If anything related to how the window was installed needs attention, we come back and make it right at no additional cost.
- Defective product replacement — in the unlikely event that a window has a manufacturing defect (e.g. a failed seal, warped frame, or faulty hardware), we coordinate with the manufacturer to have it replaced and reinstalled under warranty.
What If Something Isn't Right?
We take every concern seriously. If you notice an issue with your installed windows — whether it is a hardware problem, condensation between panes, difficulty operating the window, or anything else — contact us and we will address it promptly. That is the advantage of working with a local, family-owned company: you are never stuck in a call-centre queue.
