What is the difference between a single and double slider?

On a single slider only one sash moves while the other is fixed. On a double slider both sashes slide, giving you ventilation from either side and, on most models, tilt-in cleaning.

Are slider windows easy to clean?

Yes. Most of our double sliders have sashes that tilt in or lift out, so you can clean both sides of the glass from inside. The track is designed to be wiped out easily.

Are sliders as efficient as casement windows?

Sliders seal with weatherstripping rather than a compression seal, so casements edge them out slightly on air-tightness. With triple-pane Low-E glass, however, our sliders still deliver strong energy performance for the Canadian climate.
